The following general sales conditions (hereinafter, “General Conditions”) govern the distance purchase of products available via the internet from the site www.orodelsalento.com (hereinafter, the “Site”) in accordance with Legislative Decree 206/2005 and subsequent amendments and additions (hereinafter, “Consumer Code”).
The owner and seller of the site is: Soc.Agr. Oro del Salento srl, with legal headquarters at via Sant’ Antonio 60, VAT number 02815611203, and email: info@orodelsalento.com (hereinafter www.orodelsalento.com)
The consumer accessing the site to make purchases (hereinafter Customer) is required to carefully and meticulously read these General Conditions when sending the order, which will be available on the site at any time, as well as in the link sent to them in the order confirmation email and/or in the immediately subsequent ad hoc email.
Every contract concluded with Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl through the site is governed by these General Conditions. The language available for concluding the contract is Italian.
The products for sale on the site (hereinafter Product or Products) are listed on dedicated pages, where their characteristics and prices are indicated. The visual representation of the products normally corresponds to the photographic image, which has the sole purpose of presenting them for sale and may not be perfectly representative and may differ in color, size, etc. from the actual product.
In case of discrepancy between the photographic image and the technical data sheet, the technical data sheet prevails. The specified prices are expressed in euros.
To purchase the product, the Customer must send the electronic purchase form following the instructions on the site; add the products to the cart, review and confirm these general conditions and the privacy policy; enter shipping details; choose the payment method and confirm the order.
The order confirmation has the value of a contractual proposal, and the customer acknowledges and declares that they have read and fully accepted all parts of the General Conditions, the privacy policy, and any other information provided to them during the ordering process from the Site.
The contract is concluded at the moment of acceptance of the order by Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl, which will be communicated via order confirmation email, which will contain a link where these general conditions are reiterated, made downloadable and storable.
The order confirmation email aims to provide the list of purchased products, order number, shipping costs, and all information regarding their order.
If the Customer finds errors and imperfections, they have 12 hours to inform through the designated channels available on the site (email and phone) to communicate it to Soc.Agr. Oro del Salento srl. After 12 hours, the order will be processed and shipped.
Upon receiving the order, Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl will verify the availability of the ordered products; if one or more products are unavailable, the seller (Oro del Salento) will notify the customer via email, who has 12 hours to confirm or cancel the order. In the case of order confirmation by the Customer, despite the unavailability of the products, the amount corresponding to the latter will be refunded via Paypal (the only payment method) to their balance. Soc.Agr. Oro del Salento srl informs that the refund occurs only to their Paypal balance/account.
After 12 hours from the communication by Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl of the unavailable products to the Customer, and if the latter has not confirmed or canceled, Soc. Agr.Oro del Salento srl will consider the order accepted by the Customer regarding the available products, which will be shipped within the expected times. The refund of the amount equal to the cost of the unavailable products will be made via Paypal (see above).
Returns and Exchanges
According to current regulations and the nature of the food products sold (which risk deteriorating or expiring quickly), the products purchased on our site are NOT subject to:
- Return
- Refund
- Replacement
- Exchange or swap with other products
It is therefore not possible to return the purchased goods or request exchanges of products, except in cases of defects in conformity provided by law (to be communicated within 2 days of delivery).
Shipping costs are calculated directly at the time of order, based on indisputable criteria established by Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl, which are made known, accepted, and confirmed by the customer during the ordering and purchasing process; as well as being communicated in the order confirmation email and/or the immediately subsequent email.
Currently, the only payment method is via Paypal. Once the order is confirmed, the Customer will be redirected to the Paypal site to complete the payment, or if the order is concluded, they will not be redirected to the Paypal site, but a payment request via Paypal will be sent to the Customer’s email used for registration on the site.
Other types of payment must be agreed directly with the administration.
Orders are normally fulfilled accompanied by an invoice inside the shipment. The Customer, holding a VAT number, must communicate all data via email, to which they will receive the invoice. The Customer is responsible, in this case, for the correctness of the data sent via email.
For the purchase of wholesale products or from resellers, it is necessary to contact the administration directly at the email: info@orodelsalento.com
The Products will be delivered to the address indicated by the Customer at the time of order via express courier (hereinafter Courier) from Monday to Friday excluding holidays, national holidays, and vacations. The courier will make two delivery attempts to the indicated address. After two attempts, the package will be held at the relevant branch, where the customer is required to collect their shipment or to book the redelivery of the package, paying the redelivery service according to the courier’s rates.
Soc.Agr. Oro del Salento srl is not responsible for delays by the courier not attributable to it, as well as for damages incurred during delivery. The goods are not insured; the insurance service costs 6 euros and must be requested directly from the administration at the time of order confirmation by the customer. The customer agrees to sign with reservation at the time of delivery by the SDA courier.
Other ancillary services, such as delivery by appointment or to a specific floor, must be agreed upon from time to time with Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl, which will communicate the additional fee to be applied.
Normal delivery times do not exceed 10 days. The choice of courier is decided by Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl, based on its internal needs; while the tracking of the shipment is provided upon request by the Customer from the administration. The same principle of choice applies to shipments in Europe.
The customer does not have the right to withdraw from the contract, nor to return the received goods.
The customer loses this right if they do not report the conformity defect within 2 days of delivery of the product.
In the case of products subject to such non-conformity, which by their nature and maintenance are perishable or have a short shelf life, the communication of non-conformity must be made within a maximum period of 7 days.
The information contained on the Site is constantly updated.
No Return Policy for Food Products
In accordance with the Italian Consumer Code and applicable regulations regarding distance contracts, we specify that the right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of goods that risk deteriorating or expiring quickly. Therefore, for all food products sold, it is not possible to exercise the right of withdrawal or return following the purchase.
We are committed to ensuring the maximum freshness and quality of our products, ensuring adequate packaging and shipping that preserves the organoleptic properties and food safety until delivery to your address.

In case of error, Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl cannot be held responsible, except in cases of fraud or gross negligence.
In the case of errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl reserves the right to modify and correct this information even after an order has been sent, without prejudice to the rights of the Customer under the Consumer Code.
The Customer accepts without reservation that, except in cases of fraud or gross negligence, every right to compensation for damages, or recognition of compensation is excluded; as well as any contractual or extracontractual liability for direct or indirect damages to persons and/or things, caused by the failure to accept or fulfill, even partially, an order.

The sales contract between Soc.Agr.Oro del Salento srl and the Customer is understood to be concluded in Italy and governed by Italian Law.
For the resolution of disputes relating to the interpretation, execution, or resolution of these General Conditions or individual orders, if the Customer is a consumer under the Consumer Code, the competent court will be that of their municipality of residence or domicile if located in Italy. Otherwise, the only exclusive competent court is the Court of Lecce.
Pursuant to Article 1341 of the Civil Code, the Customer declares to have read and accepted without any reservation, in all its parts, the General Conditions.
